We were allowed to play with it a little but not drink out of it, and it was always late spring when we went there. So that's why the water looked so good, ha!Elishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13718002897712490484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1850157855681975587.post-63742397570457089862008-10-08T04:50:00.000-06:002008-10-08T04:50:00.000-06:00Those images of hand pumps brought back some inter...Those images of hand pumps brought back some interesting memories for me, of seeing them in movies or on TV as a kid and wishing we had one. I know there was the one in The Miracle Worker when Helen Keller had to know the word for "water", but there's something else I'm half-remembering and I can't think of what it was from. Maybe it was in the Wizard of Oz, or an old home movie, or a cartoon. I just remember always seeing those on TV and thinking the water looked like it would taste really good coming out of them. (Which makes me think it was something I watched at school, because I was always thirsty at school!) Whatever it was, the pictures stirred up some connections.Elishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13718002897712490484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1850157855681975587.post-59468841511542069492008-10-05T01:39:00.000-06:002008-10-05T01:39:00.000-06:00David siphons beer out of the brew bucket into bot...David siphons beer out of the brew bucket into bottles. I don't think it is nearly so unpleasant. He has siphoned gas out of a car before. I can't remember why, but it was certainly done with much more trepidation than when he's bottling beer.Schuylerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09801734082790893216noreply@blogger.com
